Qatari navy’s newest LCT launched in Turkey
Anadolu Shipyard floated out a new tank landing craft (LCT) at its Istanbul facilities on Saturday, September 25.
The vessel is being built for the Qatari Emiri Navy, which will operate it under the name Fuwairit. In addition to performing amphibious landings of troops and equipment, it will also be utilised for humanitarian assistance and general logistical support.
The future Fuwairit is scheduled for delivery in 2022.
