Pakistan Navy’s second Damen-built corvette launched in Romania

Damen Shipyards Galati has launched the second 2,000-tonne corvette ordered from the company by the Pakistan Ministry of Defence.

The multi-purpose warship utilises the same hull design as that of Damen’s 90-metre offshore patrol vessel (OPV) series.

The corvette will be used to carry out maritime security patrols in the Indian Ocean region.
