Pakistan Navy’s fourth Type 054A/P frigate floated out
China’s Hudong Zhonghua Shipbuilding has floated out the final one in a class of four frigates slated for the Pakistan Navy.
The yet unnamed ship belongs to the Type 054A/P or Tughril-class, which are variants of the Type 054A frigates originally built for the People’s Liberation Army Navy. The Type 054A/P ships have been modified to suit the specific requirements of the Pakistan Navy.
The frigate will be used on anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare, and anti-air warfare missions. Its area of operations will include parts of the Indian Ocean.
