Hanjin to build four more PKX-B attack craft for South Korean Navy

South Korea’s Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) has awarded Hanjin Heavy Industries and Construction (HHIC) a ₩246 billion (US$211 million) contract for the construction of four additional 44- by seven-metre Patrol Killer Experimental-B (PKX-B) or Chamsuri 211-class fast attack craft.

These four units will be the 13th through 16th PKX-Bs that HHIC will build for the South Korean Navy. The first vessel in the class entered service in October 2017 while the second through fourth units are to be delivered before the end of this year.

Delivery of the 13th through 16th PKX-Bs is expected to be completed by the end of 2022.
