Future US Navy destroyer Daniel Inouye completes builder’s trials

General Dynamics Bath Iron Works has completed builder’s trials of the future USS Daniel Inouye, a US Navy Arleigh Burke-class destroyer.

The vessel honours the late Daniel Inouye, a World War II Medal of Honor recipient and former US Senator from Hawaii.

The future Daniel Inouye is the 68th Arleigh Burke-class destroyer to be built for the US Navy.
