Admiralty Shipyard launches new Project 636.3 submarine
United Shipbuilding Corporation’s (USC) Admiralty Shipyard has launched Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, a new Project 636.3 submarine, at its Saint Petersburg facility.
The seventh submarine under Project 636.3, also known as the Improved Kilo-class, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky is scheduled for delivery to the Russian Navy at the end of this year.
The submarine will be operated by the Russian Pacific Fleet upon entering service.
