Spain’s Guardia Civil takes delivery of multi-purpose speedboat

Spain’s Guardia Civil (Civil Guard) national law enforcement agency has taken delivery of a new multi-purpose speedboat from local aluminium boatbuilder Aister.

The vessel will be used for patrol, dive support, and search and rescue (SAR) duties by the Guardia Civil’s Grupo Especial de Actividades Subacuáticas (Underwater Special Activities Group) in Southeastern Spain’s Murcia region.

It has a length of 9.7 metres and a maximum speed of 35 knots.

The speedboat is Aister’s second vessel delivery to the Guardia Civil in 2019.
