Huntington Ingalls Industries awarded contract to build two more national security cutters
Huntington Ingalls Industries’ Ingalls Shipbuilding division has received two fixed-price incentive contracts from the US Coast Guard (USCG) to build two additional Legend-class National Security Cutters (NSCs).
The contract values for the tenth and eleventh ships in the programme are US$468.75 million for NSC 10 and US$462.13 million for NSC 11.
Ingalls has delivered seven NSCs to the USCG while two are currently under construction.
