US Army Corps of Engineers christens new survey vessel

Earlier this month, the US Army Corps of Engineers christened a new survey vessel at its Irvington Site Office in Alabama.

The vessel, an 8.5- by 2.7-metre survey boat, was built in Irvington by Silver Ships to expand the site’s surveying capability.

Sarge will be used for operation and maintenance activities in Mobile, Pascagoula and Gulfport harbours, entrance channels, bays and bayous on the northern Gulf coast.
