Shearwater GeoServices, ION ink 3D seismic acquisition agreement

Shearwater GeoServices has been awarded a new 3D seismic acquisition contract by US-based ION Geophysical for its UK Mid North Sea High (MNSH) programme.

Amazon Warrior will spend approximately one and a half months acquiring the initial phase of the MNSH 3D survey beginning in the third quarter of 2020. This survey is part of a larger programme proposed by ION to be acquired through to 2021.

The agreement also establishes a framework for the use of Shearwater’s vessels for ION’s 3D multi-client projects with conditional links to potential upcoming projects.
