Rovco to perform survey for Blue Gem Wind’s Celtic Sea Erebus project
Blue Gem Wind, a joint venture between Total and Irish renewables company Simply Blue Energy, has awarded Bristol-based robotics and survey specialist Rovco a contract for survey work in the Celtic Sea off the Welsh coast.
Rovco will begin survey work on Erebus, a planned 96MW offshore floating wind farm 45 kilometres off Pembrokeshire, within the month.
The survey will consist of a detailed geophysical and environmental site investigation to assess the seabed and sub-surface conditions at both the wind farm and along the potential cable routes to shore.
