Ocean Ecology merges with Norwegian aquaculture consultancy

UK-based marine survey and research organisation Ocean Ecology has become part of Åkerblå Group, a Norwegian consultancy specialising in fish health, environmental, and technical services for the aquaculture sector.

The move comes as both companies work towards forming a joint service offering to the aquaculture industry in the UK and Ireland as well as catering for the Norwegian offshore wind market.

The two companies have already established a joint office at the European Marine Science Park in Oban, West Scotland. The office primarily serves clients in the Scottish aquaculture and offshore renewables sectors.
