Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority gets government nod for Chornomorsk port dredging

The Ukrainian government, through the Ministry of the Environment, has given official approval for the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA) to carry out dredging works in the waters of the Port of Chornomorsk in the country’s Odessa region.

The dredging seeks to increase the water depth to 14 metres at four adjacent berths at the port.

The work will be carried out by the USPA’s own Delta Pilot branch, which is also responsible for regulating vessel traffic and navigation in Ukraine’s territorial waters.
