Royal IHC delivers dredger River Thames to DEME

Royal IHC has handed over the 2,500-cubic-metre trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD) River Thames to DEME.

The vessel, designed by Royal IHC, is based on the 2,300-cubic metre TSHD Lesse, which was delivered to Baggerbedrijf de Boer in 2019.

The TSHD is designed to maintain coastal and inland waterways as well as perform land reclamation. Its low draught allows it to be deployed for projects in shallow water anywhere in the world.

River Thames was completed at PaxOcean Graha in Batam, Indonesia.
