Rohde Nielsen wraps up maintenance dredging of Argentina’s Mar del Plata port
Danish marine projects company Rohde Nielsen has completed the scope of a contract for maintenance dredging at the Port of Mar del Plata in Argentina’s Buenos Aires province.
The hopper dredger Idun R was deployed to serve the contract and completed the works within three months. Over 550,000 cubic metres of material was successfully dredged from the port’s access channel.
The contract for the dredging was awarded by local company Consorcio Portuario Regional in September 2021.
