Rohde Nielsen wraps up beach protection works at Skagen, Denmark
Rohde Nielsen recently completed a beach nourishment project as part of a coastal protection campaign on the east coast of Skagen, Denmark.
The company’s hopper dredger Ask R unloaded 130,000 cubic metres of sand in 2,000-cubic-metre batches to protect three stretches of the coast. The sand was pumped via sinker lines directly to the beaches.
The beach nourishment was carried out on behalf of the Danish Coastal Authority.
