South Korean construction company DL E&C has completed land reclamation works at the Tuas Terminal 1 in Singapore.

The reclamation is part of a four-phase project with completion scheduled for 2040. DL E&C said that once all four phases are completed, Tuas Port will have a container handling capacity of 65 million TEUs per year.

DL E&C was tasked with the construction of the pier facilities, including the landfill ground improvement, caisson production, and installation for the harbour.

The works were carried out by a partnership of DL E&C and Belgium-based Dredging International.
