Reclamation works completed at Germany’s Mukran port
Danish marine projects company Rohde Nielsen has completed a port development project in the port of Mukran in Rugen, Germany, on behalf of client Deutsch Danische Wasserbau.
The reclamation work comprised dredging 25,789 cubic metres of fine and compacted sand in the turning circle in the harbour. The sand was later transported to a finger pier.
The works were completed in four days using the hopper dredger Ask R.
