Philippine public works department takes delivery of amphibious dredger

The Philippine Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has taken delivery of a new multi-purpose amphibious dredger from Finnish builder Aquamec.

The dredger will be deployed on flood mitigation and coastal construction projects in the provinces throughout the northern Philippines’ Central Luzon region.

Thanks to its amphibious capability, the dredger can be deployed into the water at work sites even without the assistance of cranes or other vessels.
