Petaluma River dredging gets US$11 million federal funding

The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is set to allocate over US$11 million in federal grant funding for maintenance work on California’s Petaluma River.
The funding covers dredging of the river and the San Rafael Canal in San Rafael just north of the San Francisco Bay Area.
The work will commence within the year. It will be the first time that the river will be dredged since 2003.
