PaxOcean, Royal IHC launch new dredger for DEME

Indonesia’s PaxOcean Graha and Royal IHC have launched a new trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD) ordered by DEME.

Designed by Royal IHC, River Thames will have a hopper capacity of 2,300 cubic metres and will be capable of dredging in depths of up to 30 metres.

River Thames is scheduled for delivery in 2020. It is a near identical sister of Lesse, a Royal IHC-built TSHD operated by Baggerbedrijf de Boer.
