Oretol Nigeria orders dredger, workboat from Dutch builder

Oretol Nigeria has placed an order for a new 2,819kW cutter suction dredger and a 14-metre multi-purpose workboat from Netherlands-based Royal IHC.

The dredger will have a maximum dredging depth of 25 metres and the ability to pump soil over great distances while the workboat will be used for line handling, towing, and resupply duties.

Delivery of the vessels and associated equipment is expected within four months. These will support Oretol’s dredging and land reclamation projects in and around Lagos.
