Four dredging projects in Ogunquit, Scarborough, Milbridge, and Bar Harbor in Maine have been included in the US Army Corps of Engineers' (USACE) work plan for Fiscal Year 2022.

Funding totaling US$18.45 million for the four projects was secured through the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act signed into law last November. The dredging will help address safety and navigational concerns for commercial fishermen as well as recreational boaters.

Other works to be carried out include river surveys and harbour breakwater repairs.
