Macau SAR government taps local firm for five-year dredging campaign

The Macau Special Administrative Region (SAR) government has awarded local company Macau Dredging Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of SJM Resorts, a contract for dredging and maintenance of designated public waterways and harbour basins over a period of five years.

The contract will take effect on January 1, 2023 and will be firm until December 31, 2027.

SJM and its affiliates have been tasked with dredging of the city’s waterways under contract since the 1960s. The new campaign to be undertaken by Macau Dredging is in fulfilment of a tender launched in August of this year.
