The keel laying ceremony for a new 900kW cutter suction dredger (CSD) Jarash has been held at Royal IHC shipyard's at Kinderdijk, the Netherlands.

Being built for the Arab Potash Company (APC), the custom-built stationary CSD will be launched at the beginning of 2018.

Named after an ancient city in Jordan, the vessel will start dredging in the potash mines of the southern Dead Sea once it arrives in Jordan.
