Iowa contractor gets new electric dredger
Booneville, Iowa-based marine contractor Legacy Materials has taken delivery of a new electric-powered cutter suction dredger (CSD) from Custom Dredge Works of Topeka, Kansas.
The dredger features a chain ladder cutting system that will allow it to mine effectively and efficiently in the presence of large rock, coble, and other debris indicative of aggregate deposits.
The dredger will be used on projects in the area of Booneville adjacent to Iowa’s Raccoon River.
