Finnish-built amphibious dredger to fulfil coastal cleanup duties in Argentina

Argentine marine projects company Yacyreta has taken delivery of a new amphibious dredger built by Aquamec of Finland.

The 11-metre vessel will be used for coastal treatment, biomass removal, tree extraction, dredging of excessive mud, and clearing of invasive aquatic vegetation and debris. It will initially be deployed in Posadas in northeastern Argentina.

The vessel is designed to be capable of dredging from dry ground to a depth of six metres.
