Dredging underway at County Donegal’s Buncrana Harbour

Dredging works have begun at Buncrana Harbour in Ireland’s County Donegal to ensure safe navigation in the harbour’s waters and to better facilitate the launching of the lifeboat from the local Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) station.

The works are being carried out by a plough dredger supplied by a Northern Ireland-based operator.

The dredging is expected to be completed on Friday, June 26.
