DEME, Royal IHC launch TSHD Meuse River

DEME and Royal IHC successfully launched the 7,950-cubic-metre trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD) Meuse River at Krimpen aan den IJssel, the Netherlands, on Saturday, November 16.

The vessel has the same design as Scheldt River, which was delivered to DEME in 2017 and which has been operated on waterways and access channels in Europe ever since.

Meuse River will join the DEME fleet in 2020.
