Construction begins on new 103-metre dredger for Callan Marine

MARINE PROJECTS WEEK

Galveston, Texas-based Callan Marine has confirmed that construction has begun on a new dredger slated to join its fleet in 2021.

The future General Bradley will have a length of 103 metres, a draught of two metres, and a total installed power of 6,905 kW. It will focus on brown water projects and will be ideally suited for both maintenance and capital dredging projects.

The dredger will be built at the Louisiana facilities of Halimar Shipyard while the key dredging components will be supplied by Netherlands-based APT Offshore.
