Baggerbedrijf De Boer secures maintenance dredging work at Scheveningen port

The Municipality of The Hague has awarded a contract for maintenance dredging work for the Port of Scheveningen to Baggerbedrijf De Boer-Dutch Dredging following completion of a competitive tender process.

The trailing suction hopper dredger Amazone (pictured) and the bed levelling vessel Peter will be deployed to work on the project.

The company said the vessels were selected by the municipality partly for their features aimed at sustainability and environment-friendly operations. These include an IMO Tier III-compliant equipment installation on Amazone.
