Scottish naval architecture firm Macduff Ship Design has confirmed the upcoming opening of its first branch, which will be located in Devon in the South-West of England.
Macduff said the expansion is in line with its, "commitment to supporting owners and operators of small commercial vessels across the UK."
"Following several months of planning and preparation, the company can confirm that it will establish a permanently staffed office in Devon," Macduff said in a statement. "The new location will enable Macduff Ship Design to work more closely with clients, including fishing vessel owners, workboat operators, and other small commercial vessel operators, throughout the South-West and further afield through England and Wales."
Scheduled to open in early 2027, the branch will provide a comprehensive range of naval architectural services, with close support from the main office in Macduff, including: stability assessments and regulatory support; vessel conversion and modification assistance; new vessel design and development; and general naval architecture consultancy services.
Macduff said additional details regarding the services, team members, and contact information will be announced in early 2027 following the official opening.
