Hitler Dönitz and the Baltic Sea – The Third Reich’s Last Hope, 1944-1945

From Baird Maritime:

The last year of World War II may not have been as chaotic in the German camp as conventional wisdom would have us believe.

Developed by Admiral Karl Dönitz, Hitler did have a grand strategy to break out from his rapidly shrinking empire and defeat the Allies on the High Seas.

The author has also turned conventional wisdom on its head with his claim that "…Dönitz embraced National Socialism, including its racist ideology…". He was devoted to Hitler, apparently, until the end.

A most interesting and well researched revision of naval history.
