The name of the game is seamanship. The author, who has sailed a number of smallish yachts all over the world for decades, has considerable experience of that.
He also has a unique ability to succinctly, sensibly and, very importantly, memorably get his point across. His simple common sense approach minimises what the reader needs to remember when conditions get bad.
A very useful and inspiring book. One of the best ever on this important subject.
