From Baird Maritime
One for the "anoraks" or ferry tragics, this very well photographed book is barely technical nor does it tell us much about the business of ferries or cruising. Rather, it describes the ships, past and present, their routes and, to a lesser extent, their histories.
It does all of that very well and will remain a useful historical reference for a long time to come.
Your reviewer is amazed that the publisher can make money from a book of such high quality and, presumably, a relatively short print run.
Overall, though, the annual provides a useful, round-up of the year's cruise and ferry activity although it is largely focussed on the developed world.
