A celebratory assembly will kick off the 2009 China Navigation Day in the northeastern Chinese city of Dalian on July 11.
Dalian Marine University and Dalian Naval Vessel Academy will both be present at the event, which is to host several forums.
Another significant event will be held in conjunction with China Navigation Day. China's second international work boat event, Work Boat China, will be held in Dalian from July 9 to 11. Work Boat China will be held at the Dalian Xinghai Convention and Exhibition Centre, a modern exhibition centre integrating exhibition, trade, conference and recreational facilities.
Work Boat China 2009 follows on from the very successful first event in Dalian in 2007.
A large group of marine industry and professional associations will again gather at China's fastest-growing maritime city.
