One of latest designs from Baltic Workboats shipyard is a 17-metre multi purpose pilot boat.

The Swedish Maritime Administration has ordered three of these vessels, one of which has already entered service in Sweden's North Sea areas.

This boat is powered by two Scania DI16 52M series engines each delivering a power of 535kW. Driven by twin propellers, the vessel achieves a top speed of 29 knots. During test drives the vessel showed excellent seakeeping in different sea conditions. The vessel's new hull design allows the vessel to operate even in very rough sea conditions, allowing it to travel up to six knots faster than same sized boats from previous generation.

The vessel has a modern design accompanied by advanced ergonomic working conditions for crew. Furthermore, the boat has a flexible superstructure mounting to reduce vibration and noise level in working premises.

The vessels are equipped for a variety of operations, including search and rescue missions. The inflatable MORS slide and the crane are installed to rescue people from the water. The hydraulic driven fire pump and bilge pump are capable of fire fighting operations.
