A most interesting bi-lingual (English and French) photographic review of the latest addition to the fleet of Brittany Ferries.
Named after a famous French national park and constructed by STX Europe in Finland, 'L'Armorique' replaced a well-used Ro-Ro ferry of the same name that went into service in December 1975.
The new 'Armorique' is a large and powerful ferry. She can carry 1,500 passengers, a crew of 120 and hundreds of vehicles at a service speed of 23 knots. She is the largest Ro-Ro ferry yet built.
Entering service in February 2009, the new 'Amorique' has proved to be a useful addition to the well-managed Brittany Ferries fleet. This detailed review does the new ship proud.
