Yangzhou Dayang Shipyard starts work on bulker/LPG carrier

Yangzhou Dayang Shipyard, part of the Sinopacific Shipbuilding Group, started building two ships in March.

One of them is the 63,500DWT bulk carrier 'Crown 63', classified under BV and designed by Sinopacific. The second is the 12,000-cubic-metre LPG tanker 'Tiger 12000' built for an Iranian ship owner, which is classified under DNV and CCS.

'Crown 63' features an overall length of 199.99 metres, breadth of 32.26 metres, depth of 18.50 metres, scantling draught of 13.30 metres, deadweight capacity of 63,500 tonnes and a service speed of 14.5 knots.

With overall length of 138 metres, breadth of 21.60 metres, depth of 11.90 metres, scantling draught of 9.30 metres and a service speed of 15.5 knots, 'Tiger 12000' can be used to transfer toxic, combustible and hazardous goods like propylene, propane, butane, acetaldehyde, poly-oxygen propylene aether and ether.
