Seaspan receives eighth 14,000TEU containership
Seaspan has accepted delivery of a 14,000TEU containership, the ‘YM Width’, in Hong Kong, China.
The ‘Width’ will commence a ten-year, fixed-rate time charter with Yang Ming Marine Transport. Yang Ming may extend the charter for up to an additional two years.
The new containership was constructed at CSBC in Taiwan and is Seaspan’s eighth 14,000TEU Saver-design containership and fourth delivery in 2016.
The ship is the eighth of a total of nine 14000TEU Saver design vessels to be chartered to Seaspan by Yang Ming.
