Bureau Veritas has been chosen to class a LNG bunkering that will be built at Hanjin Heavy Industries, Korea, under an agreement between Japan's NYK and Mitsubishi and France's GDF-SUEZ.
The vessel will carry 5,000m3 of LNG for ships' fuel stored in two IMO Type-C pressure tanks.

The LNG bunker barge will measure 111 metres in length overall, with a beam of 16.8 metres and a draught of 4.9 metres.
The vessel will have dual-fuel diesel electric propulsion system, with twin azipods for high manoeuvrability.
It will be built and equipped to the highest environmental friendliness standards and classed with notations such as Liquefied Gas Carrier (LNG), Unrestricted navigation, Dual Fuel, CLEANSHIP, INWATERSURVEY, and GREEN PASSPORT.
