On June 9, the carrier 'Arklow Cadet' was successfully launched at the Westerbroek yard of Ferus Smit in The Netherlands.
'Arklow Cadet' is the first vessel in a series of ten that will be delivered to Arklow Shipping from the city of Arklow, Ireland.
The 'Arklow Cadet' has a maximum carrying capacity of more than 5,000DWT, a single hold, and a 1A iceclass notation.
The vessel is propelled by a 1740kW MaK engine with a single ducted propeller.
