Russian-based shipyard delivers ‘Neptune’ tug

Astrakhan Shipbuilding Production Association (ASPO) has delivered the tug 'Neptune' to Kazakhstani company OMS Shipping. According to the shipbuilder, it is the first of five ships to be delivered to the company.

The boat measures 24.5 metres in length and has a breadth of 8.0 metres. Powered by two 441kW main engines, the boat is designed to pull non-self propelled barges with a displacement of up to 4,000kg, move vessels within port areas and engage in mooring and rescue operations. The boat is also equipped with fire-fighting capabilities.
