New Damen Stan Tug commences trials

The Netherlands: The newbuild Damen Stan Tug 2208 Vysotsk-1 'Stelledam' commenced trials in the Caland Canal on April 22.

Measuring 22.64 metres in length, 'Stelledam' has a beam of 7.84 metres and a draught of 3.7 metres. Powered by twin Caterpillar 3512B TA-B engines, the vessel achieves an average bollard pull of 38.6 tonnes.

The new tug was built at Damen's Maaskant Shipyard.
