On April 12 Kotug's newbuilding RotorTugs 'RT Champion' and 'RT Leader' arrived in Rotterdam. Both tugs have a length of 32 metres, a width of 12 metres, 5,400kW and a bollard pull of 85 tonnes.
'RT Champion' and 'RT Leader' are the fifth and sixth tugs respectively of a series of six sister vessels, all built at Niigata Shipbuilders, Japan, as part of Kotug's fleet extension and renewal programme. The sister vessels left Niigata's shipyard on January 29.
