New Russian pusher tug Motorist Kazakovtsev floated out
Russia's Cherepovets Shipbuilding Plant (CSP) recently launched a new inland pusher tug ordered by local shipowner State Transport Leasing Company (STLC).
Motorist Kazakovtsev belongs to the Project TSK.395 series of tugs built by CSP for various local operators.
Upon completion, the all-steel tug will have an LOA of 22.3 metres, a beam of 7.4 metres, a draught of 1.5 metres, a depth of 2.84 metres, a displacement of 100 tonnes, and space for eight crewmembers.
Two diesel engines with a total rated output of 440 kW will deliver a service speed of just over nine knots and a maximum endurance of 108 hours, allowing the tug to sail on near-uninterrupted point-to-point voyages when pushing or towing barges even under mild winter conditions.
Two other Project TSK.395 tugs are scheduled to be handed over to STLC in 2025.
CSP was selected as the main contractor in the construction of the Project TSK.395 tugs, though numerous companies under the Rechflot Group were also involved in the design and construction stages.
R-Flot Design provided conceptual design work and also built the vessel's cabin and the superstructure while R-Flot Shipbuilding was responsible for all hull-related works including assembly and welding.
