New Mississippi River pushboat delivered to Cooper Group

Blakeley BoatWorks of Mobile, Alabama, has delivered a new inland pushboat to the Cooper Group of Companies.

Green Wave will be owned by Cooper subsidiary Plimsoll Marine and will be operated primarily on the Lower Mississippi River.

Designed by Farrell and Norton, the pushboat measures 70 by 28 feet (21.3 by 8.5 metres) and is powered by two Caterpillar C32 engines that each produce 800 hp (596 kW). Seven crewmembers can be accommodated in four cabins.

Other onboard spaces include three shower rooms and a full galley.
