Turkey's Uzmar Shipyard and Canadian naval architects Robert Allan Ltd (RAL) have entered into an agreement to design and build new methanol-fueled tugs.

These new designs, exclusive to Uzmar, will represent a new generation of lower-emission tugs to enable customers to comply with CO2 emissions reduction targets.

The agreement between Uzmar and RAL covers four new tug designs with LOAs of between 26 and 32 metres.
