TAS Offshore wins six-tug order from Indonesian interests
The board of directors of TAS Offshore has announced that the company's wholly-owned shipbuilding subsidiary has secured newbuild contracts for six tugs with a value of approximately RM38 million ($9.0 million).
The contracts were signed with two new customers from Indonesia, said TAS Offshore. The vessels are expected to be delivered during the 2026 financial year.
"The revenue generated from the contracts is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of TAS Group for the financial year ending 31 May 2026," said the company.
Since the commencement of its shipbuilding activities, TAS Offshore's shipyard has built over 200 vessels ranging from 23 metres to 60 metres in length, mostly comprising tugs and anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels.
TAS' secondary business is in the provision of ship repair services. The company provides slipway and afloat ship repair services.
