Svitzer officially names newest tug

Svitzer christened the newest addition to its tug fleet in a ceremony on Thursday, March 21.

Svitzer Meridian was the name given to the 70-tonne bollard pull azimuth tractor drive (ATD) tug built by Turkey's Sanmar.

The Robert Allan Ltd-designed tug is the 21st vessel built by Sanmar for Svitzer and the 10th tug to join the company's tug fleet servicing the Port of London.
